Ricinus Communis Activated Charcoal Preparation, Characterization and Application for Methyl Red Adsorptive Removal

نویسندگان

چکیده

The phosphoric acid activated Ricinus communis stem carbon (PRCS) is used to degrade methyl red dye from aqueous solution under solar light irradiation studied Physiochemical properties, surface morphology, elemental composition and crystalline nature of PRCS are reported. optimum experimental conditions fixed by optimizing the parameter such as contact time, pH, doses concentration. maximum degradation efficiency MR UV spectroscopy found be 82.79 % at pH 3, 0.25 gm PRCS, 90 min time concentration 20 ppm. Adsorptive photo catalytic explained isotherm kinetic studies. From results it clearly evident that could an ecofriendly catalyst for removal dyes waste water.

Preparation and characterization of Montmorillonite/ZrO2 nanocomposite and its application for removal of Congo red

Montmorillonite/ZrO2 nanocomposites were prepared by the sol-gel method underultrasonic irradiation. The montmorillonite was incorporated into Zirconium gel. After stirring for 24 hr, the mixture was irradiated for 30 min under ultrasonic irradiation. The filtrated composite gel was calcinated at 400°C for 3h in furnace. The morphology of prepared catalysts was characterized by field emis...

Adsorptive capacity of activated charcoal for rifampicin with and without sodium chloride and sodium citrate.

The effects of two saline cathartics (sodium chloride and sodium citrate) on the adsorptive capacity of activated charcoal (AC) for rifampicin were studied. Solutions of rifampicin alone and rifampicin with 7.5 mg/ml cathartic solution were vortex-mixed for 30 s with different quantities of AC. These were incubated for 30 min at 37 degrees C and analyzed for free rifampicin spectrophotometrical...

Sampling and Stability of Methyl Bromide on Activated Charcoal

Monitoring methyl bromide (CH3Br) emission into the atmosphere following soil fumigations requires sensitive and reproducible sampling methods. The factors affecting the sampling efficiency and stability of CH3Br on activated charcoal sampling tubes were identified and evaluated in this study. The number of tubes required for accurate sampling using activated coconut and petroleum charcoal tube...
